Welcome to our class! It is wonderful to be able to work with your children every day! I have been teaching in Washington Township since 1978. My assignments included BSI, Transitional First Grade, First Grade, and most recently (since the mid 1980's) Kindergarten. My degree is in Early Childhood Education as well as Elementary Education.
I am thankful to be working with young children. I enjoy watching them grow into such confident learners by the end of the year as well as their view on life which is so happy and hopeful. Anything is possible when you are 5 or 6 years old. This is as it should be and it is a pleasure watching them enjoy many different things each day.
We learn many new skills in kindergarten...reading, writing in journals to communicate our ideas and knowledge, and how to use math skills to solve various problems or to collect information.
Please read our weekly newsletters, practice guided reading books and words at home, and encourage your child to learn something new each day.
I can be contacted by phone at 227-1303 (ext4443) or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Check back for new information throughour the school year, and thank-you for the help and support you give your child at home!
