The mission of the Washington Township Public Schools is to provide a safe educational environment for all students to attain the skills and knowledge specified in the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards at all grade levels so as to ensure their full participation in our global society as responsible, self-directed, and civic-minded citizens.

Our Goals

To fulfill the mission of the Washington Township School District and to underscore our beliefs, the Board of Education has adopted the following five goals for the 2008-09 school year.

Goals

Goal 1:  To ensure that all school facilities are clean, safe, secure, drug free and prepared for emergency management.
Goal 2:  To improve student academic performance at all levels district-wide as demonstrated on prescribed state and standardized tests including the NJASK 3, 4, & 5.

Goal 3:  To pursue community and corporate partnerships that will provide new or enhanced learning opportunities, strengthen connections with the local business community, as well as cultivate potential classroom resources and/or financial support.

Goal 4: To encourage innovative programming that optimizes student instructional time and use of the district’s financial resources.

Goal 5:  To maintain frequent and quality communication within the organization and throughout the community, so as to foster understanding of and support for the mission of the Washington Township Public Schools.
