District Announces 2007-08 Performing Arts Calendar

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP - The Washington Township School District is pleased to announce its 2007-08 performing arts calendar.

"With nearly 50 scheduled performances and activities on the calendar, and many more that will come up during the school year, the Washington Township Schools' Visual & Performing Arts Program clearly demonstrates why it is one of the most highly regarded in New Jersey," Department Supervisor Robert Frampton said. "These activities highlight the commitment to the arts not only from students and teachers, but also from parents, the community, the school administration and the Board of Education. Studies continue to highlight the value of the arts in a strong academic curriculum and have proven that participation in the arts enhances academic achievement. Students and teachers work hard to provide high quality artistic products, and performances that continue to bring distinction to the Washington Township Schools."
