Washington Township High School Relay Team Sets School Record,
Earns Silver Medal at Penn Relays
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP - Washington Township High School's 4x800-meter relay team set a school record on Friday at the Penn Relay Carnival in Philadelphia, capturing a silver medal in their heat in a time of 7 minutes, 51 seconds.
The group of sophomore Steve Morrone and juniors Nick Krauss, Tim Carey and Xavier Fraction posted the nation's fifth-fastest time this spring. They earned a spot in the Championship of America race at the Penn Relays, where they placed eighth.
