Guidance Services

The middle schools provide a guidance counselor for each grade level. These counselors remain assigned to the same students throughout the middle school years.

Counselors meet with students individually, in small groups, and in larger group settings. In addition, the guidance counselors help to maintain open communication between school and home. They assist with appropriate placement of our youngsters in classes and facilitate the scheduling process for successive years. When our teaching teams meet formally each week, the grade level counselor is present to assist teachers in meeting student needs. top of page

  2. The IMC is open after school from 2:50 pm to 3:30 pm .Monday through Thursday.  Students must obtain a pass from a teacher to enter the IMC after school.
  3. Students may check out two books at a time for a two-week period. At the end of this two-week period, books must be returned or renewed. Students are responsible for all materials they borrow. Report cards are held in the Guidance Office if overdue materials have not been returned.
  4. An extensive reference collection is available for students to use in the IMC.
  5. The IMC has 9 Dell computers. The card catalog is computerized. We have word processing on all computers (Microsoft Word). Use of the internet is limited to school work/projects only.
