The Washington Township Public Schools continues its partnership with the Food Bank of South Jersey by staging a mobile food pantry on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. Distribution will begin at 8:30 a.m. and continue until 10:30 a.m. at Washington Township High School (behind the 9-10 wing of the school off the Ganttown Road Entrance, at 509 Hurffville-Cross Keys Road). Please bring a valid New Jersey photo ID, and pantry volunteers will assist patrons to their cars with their items.

The Washington Township Board of Education is holding its monthly public work session and regular session meetings in person at 7 p.m. at the Eileen Abbott Central Administration Building (206 East Holly Avenue, Sewell).

The Washington Township Public Schools has partnered with Care Solace to support the well-being of students, staff, and their family members. Care Solace is a complimentary and confidential care coordination service that can help our community quickly find mental health or substance-use treatment options matched to needs, regardless of circumstances. ESS, which provides substitute teachers and support staff for districts across the area, including Washington Township, recently announced it is offering two new programs. The service’s Career Kickstart Initiative helps compensate new substitutes and support staff for some of the costs required to become properly credentialed. The ESS Refer a Friend program pays current ESS workers $100 for every eligible friend they refer to become a substitute teacher, aide, or support staffer.

Are you aware of any child who is in need of special education programs and services? An extra effort is being made to identify children between ages 3 to 5 for our preschool program for children with special needs.
