WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – On the evening of May 9, 2017, Grenloch Terrace Early Childhood Center held its third annual “Kindred Spirits” workshops for early childhood educators. Seven topics were offered, including offerings such as classroom management, literacy centers, free choice time and active storytelling, and participants had a chance to sign up for two different sessions.
Twenty volunteers worked behind the scenes in registration, at refreshments, cleaning up, making announcements, facilitating the sessions and attending to many details. The GTECC Home & School Council and staff provided refreshments as a courtesy to the guests.
Our 50 participants represented 14 school districts,” GTECC Principal Wendy Crawford said. “Two of our elementary supervisors also attended, and we were honored to have a teacher from Thomas Jefferson present this year.”
