WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – Round and round and round they go! Fidget spinners are all the craze at Wedgwood Elementary School. Recently, fifth-grade math students at the school raced their fidget spinners as they completed as many math problems as possible until the spinner stopped.
Students in Mrs. Donna McGough, Mr. Domenick Renzi and Mrs. Denise Centola’s classes spun the fidget spinners on their desks and began to work on problems of various math skills, racing to beat the spinner. Some spinners stopped spinning in less than a minute, while others stretched to more than two minutes. Students solved problems involving multiplication, division, and equivalent fractions.
