Philosophy: The idea of learning concepts and or objectives, in Music Education, should be followed with review, reinforcement and accuracy. This will then make the application process more comprehensive for the student and results will become long term.

Music Education classes at Wedgwood consist of a variety of goals and objectives. Every child is given the opportunity to explore all basic musical elements   through individual and group interaction projects. Every child is given the opportunity to perform, allowing the child to grow with enthusiasm and confidence.

Sightreading is the core for good listening skills and accuracy in pitch development. This overall objective begins in Grade 1 and continues thru Grade 5.  Music is also a ‘mirroring’ subject for Math and Language Arts. This enables a child’s academic ability to oversee the depth and creation in which they need to engage in their studies.
