Whitman School Communication Envelopes

In an effort to improve the communication lines between home and school, we are maintaining our current communication system, which we refer to as the “Communication Envelope”.  As a direct result of this system, we hope that parents will become better informed of all activities and also reduce the cost of duplicating informational materials.

The Communication Envelope will be distributed to only one member of each household every Wednesday starting September 21st.  It will contain all pertinent information regarding any school wide program or community activity that will take place within the next week.  We are asking parents to REMOVE the contents and return the envelope to school the very next day, so that our volunteers are able to re-fill the envelope for the next week’s news.  Any notices requiring a parent signature or something to be returned to school will not be included in this envelope.

Again, the Communication Envelope will be sent home every Wednesday with the youngest child in each family as the designated carrier.  If you do not receive a Communication Envelope each week, first check to make sure that your child does not have the envelope in his/her desk at school.  If you have missed any week’s worth of news, packets of each week’s news will be available in the school office.

We hope everyone will become better informed as a result of this system.
