COMPUTERS IN THE IMC

The IMC has 81 computers, 5 laptops, 2 digital cameras and 2 digital video cameras, 10 scanners, 7 r/w CD-ROMS, 3 DVD players, 4 LCD projectors, 2 Smart Boards, 2 multimedia computers with video editing software, and 2 computers on wheels with 30 laptops..  All computers can access the Internet and include Microsoft Word, FrontPage, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher,  Photoshop.

PROCEDURES FOR USING THE COMPUTERS:

• Students must sign the District's Acceptable Use Policy to access the Internet

• Students must use their login and password and logout when finished
• Classes have priority for Internet use.
•  Limit your time so everyone can have access.
•  No accessing chat rooms or downloading or playing games or CDs.
•  Students may not access or change program configurations or settings and may not make unauthorized copies of software.
• Students may not reboot computers or turn off power. 

                                                                      
PRINTING POLICY                    
* In the interest of conserving paper, we strongly encourage students to download files to their own account,  to a floppy disk or jump drive or forward them to their e-mail accounts.
* Printing is for academic use and is limited to a maximum of 10 pages.
* Students may not print pictures, music lyrics or e-mail.
* Color printers are for academic use; there is a $1.00 fee for using the color printers for personal pictures.


FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE RULES CAN TERMINATE YOUR COMPUTER ACCESS PRIVILEGES!
