Dr. Stacie K. Lerro
Welcome to Physical Therapy!
My name is Stacie Lerro and I have been a physical therapist for over 20 years. I have worked with children in various pediatric settings for my entire career. Some of the areas I have worked include: acute care, hospital based outpatient clinic, home health and the school environment. I have practiced as the district therapist in Washington Township since April 2013. In the Washington Township School District, I provide therapy at Bells, Birches, Hurffville, Thomas Jefferson and Wedgwood Elementaries; as well as, all three middle schools and the High School.
Physical therapists are health care professionals that improve and restore gross motor abilities, such as transfers, walking, balance, strength and coordination. School based physical therapists address gross motor impairments that restrict students' access to their education; some examples include: safe and independent navigation of the building and playground; as well as, facilitating optimum participation in age appropriate physical education activities.
I enjoy working with children to discover their gross motor strengths and interests. These strengths and interests are the building blocks for promoting a healthy lifestyle as children grow into young adults. I look forward to working with you and your child this school year!
