Welcome to my webpage! I am a Learning Disabilities Teacher/Consultant at Washington Township High School. I have worked in Special Education for the past 25 years. I began working with children who are disabled when I was in high school back in 1984. I continued working with people with disabilities in a variety of settings, including, summer camps, sheltered workshops, job coaching, 1:1 tutoring, and group homes throughout Philadelphia. I began my teaching career in 1990 at St. Katherine Day School in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania. I taught multiply disabled high school students in a self-contained setting. There I wrote the functional math curriculum, initiated a community based life skills program, and develped a social skills program. In 1996 I transferred to Clayton, New Jersey where I was a computer teacher at St. Catherine Of Sienna. The following year I moved into the fourth grade classroom, where I taught a variety of students, from gifted/talented to learning disabled. In 1999 I accepted a position at Orchard Valley Middle School as a resource room math teacher. Over the three years I taught there I was in a variety of setting, in-class support, resource room, and self-contained. Then after receiving my Masters Degree from Rowan University in 2002, I transferred to Washington Township High School as a Learning Disabilities Teacher/Consultant. During the 2003-2004 school year I worked at Whitman/Birches/Grenloch Terrace Early Childhood Center on the Child Study Team. I returned to the high School in 2004 and have been working on the Child Study Team here since that time. In 2011 I became Team Leader, where I coordiate activities for Team D.
