• My name is Mrs. Carly Suckey.  I have been teaching at Thomas Jefferson since 2004. I have taught every grade level from 1-5 and collaborated with many of the teachers here.  I am thrilled to have landed in 4th grade as it is my favorite age children to work with!

I am originally from Verona, a small town in North Jersey, and relocated to South Jersey after graduating from Rowan University.  I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Collaborative Education in 2003 and followed that with a Master’s of Science in Teaching in 2004. I was then hired at Thomas Jefferson and have been here ever since!

At home, I am married with 2 young boys who keep me very busy!  I enjoy spending time outdoors fishing, kayaking, golfing, going to the playground, and taking leisurely strolls through the woods.  I express my creativity through cooking and relax by reading or watching TV.  I love watching football and rooting for the New York Giants.

Children and teaching are my passions and I can’t think of anything better than watching children discover new things.  I am blessed to be able to guide them through this time in their lives and can only hope I’ve made a positive impact on their futures.
