Keyboarding Fluency Tools

·       Go to draggo.com/kath. Tabs across the top designate grade levels. Each grade level has keyboarding games and activities that are appropriate for students at that level.
·       Suggestions for teacher use:
a.     Teacher pre-selects and assigns a specific game/activity for the whole class. This eliminates ‘game hopping’ and focuses students’ attention on a specific task or expectation.
b.     PLEASE enforce “home row” finger placement and request/require that students not look down at the keyboard. Students should not be allowed to “hunt and peck”. These are the expectations in Computer class, and should be vigilantly reinforced during in-class practice.
