Ms. Briana Petrellis

Hello Parents and Students,

I am excited to get to know you over the next several months! I trust that we will have a great year together.

Please allow me to further introduce myself. I am a resident of Washington Township and have been an employee of the district for 6 years.  I began my journey in the educational field as a teacher’s assistant at WTHS, and later became a job coach working with the students involved in the transitional work program at the high school.  As a job coach, I taught the transitional students and mentored them at various job sites within the community.  I graduated from Wilmington University with a Master’s Degree in Special Education.  I also have a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Studies.  Between my educational background and my experience, I can assure you that your child is in good hands! In addition to teaching, I also enjoy music. I particularly enjoy playing my acoustic guitar and singing. I was a voice instructor for three years so don’t be surprised if your children come home with stories about my “singing.”  I am blessed with a 9 year old daughter named Sophia and will soon have a stepson Mikey when I tie the knot in October!

I believe that a classroom should be a community in which students, teachers and parents work together to help students achieve success.  For this to happen, communication is key!  If at any time during the year you have any questions or concerns, please e-mail me at brpetrellis@wtps.org or call me at 881-7007 ext 5131.

I’m thrilled to be working with you and your children this year!

Sincerely,

Ms. Petrellis aka "Ms. P"...Soon to be Mrs. DiBlasio :-)
