    Dear Parents,

                I am excited that your child has chosen to participate in the Orchestra program at Bells.  Your child will receive a lesson every Monday as well as attend orchestra rehearsal on the same day.  Your child’s lesson time every Monday will be held at a different time each week so that students are not out of class at the same time each week.  We will be preparing for our Spring Concert, which is Wednesday, March 29th at the Investors Bank Performing Arts Center at 7:00 pm.  The daytime concert is Wednesday, March 29th at Bells.

    Lesson and Orchestra requirements

    - Bring instrument, lesson book, and music to all lessons and orchestra rehearsals.

    - Pass the Orchestra Ensemble Readiness Benchmark.

    - Perform in daytime assembly:   Wednesday, March 29th.

    o   If a student does not have their instrument for the daytime assembly, they will not be permitted to perform at the evening concert.

    o   If a student is not able to perform the evening concert, they will not be permitted to perform at the assembly.

    -Perform in evening concert at the Investors Bank Performing Arts Center: Wednesday, March 29th

    - Students that forget to bring their instrument to lessons and orchestra rehearsals 5 or more times throughout the year prior to the concert will not be permitted to perform in either daytime or evening performances.

    - Students who meet the requirements: attend lessons and perform in the day and evening concert, will receive an orchestra certificate at the award assembly in June.
