Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Tracy Misata

This year begins my 11th year of teaching at Thomas Jefferson.  I am excited to be working as the In-class Resource teacher for Math and Science/Social Studies in fourth grade, along with Ms. Lee.  I started at TJ in the role of a Self-contained teacher and then I taught the Read 180 program and System 44 programs for 7 years.

Originally from Lake George, NY, I have lived in New Jersey for the last 20 years.  I graduated from SUNY Cortland with a degree in Health Education - way back when! :)  Then once we moved to NJ, I was fortunate enough to be a stay at home mom to our children for many years.   Once my own children were in school I returned to college to get certifications in Elementary Education and Teacher of Students with Disabilities from Rowan University.  I spent several years substitute teaching and working in various roles from an elementary T-1 teacher to a middle school long term sub prior to landing at TJ.  I feel so fortunate to have landed in such an amazing school with the most amazing staff and students.

When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends.  I am married with two grown children, Nicholas and Lauren, and a new puppy named Nash.  I am a dog lover and I also enjoy camping and outdoor activities with my family.  In addition, I enjoy listening to music (mostly country) audiobooks/podcasts, exercising, and relaxing by just about any body of water.

I look forward to having a great year with your child.  To reach me call:  856-589-8248 Ext. 3934. Email at tmisata@wtps.org
