Miss Linda Zeck
HI! I'd like to introduce myself to you. My name is Miss Linda Zeck. After completing my student teaching in 5th grade at Birches School, I have spent my entire career teaching 3rd grade here at Birches School. I graduated from Glassboro State College where I earned her Bachelor of Arts degree. I have a dual certification in Elementary Education and Early Childhood. My Master's Degree is in Student Personnel Servics which I earned at Rowan University. I am a certified Guidance Counselor which I utilize often within the classroom. It was a great honor to be chosen as Teacher of the Year for the 2011-2012 school year.
I serve on the social studies & the health committees and have written the 3rd grade curriculum for both subjects. I am part of the Liason Committe here at Birches in which the Liason Committee meets with the principal. My classwork was featured in Kathy Ganske’s Word Study Book entitled Word Sorts and More. I have also presented word study workshops at Rutgers Annual Reading and Writing Conference and Washington Township’s Summer Institute for professional development. I participate in ongoing professional development throughout the school year.
I possess a love for teaching as well as a love for learning. Since I find building a rapport with my students to be of utmost importance, I enjoy hearing about their hobbies and interests. I share my love of music within the classroom with singing.
I truly feel blessed to work with such wonderful staff members here at Birches School . Please know that I look forward to working with you and your child. If you'd like to contact me, please call me at 232- 1290 Ext. 3001 or e-mail me at LZeck@wtps.org.
