Welcome to my page. Currently I teach 6th and 7th grade Computer and Financial Literacy as well as 6th grade Keyboarding. I have been teaching here in the Washington Township school district since graduating from Rowan University in 2005. I began teaching at the high school and then moved to middle school in 2008. I enjoy working with each and every one of my students and creating impressions that will last a lifetime.
Here you can find a basic course overview, resources, videos and activities. I use the district's Blackboard learning platform for student assignments, submission, and grading in the Computer and Financial Literacy classes. Students may log into Blackboard at any time or any place to see what assignments have been handed in and which ones are still missing. Keyboarding students use the website edutyping.com
to complete their work.
If students need extra time to finish an assignment they can work during a study hall or after school in Computer Club or Prep Club. They may also work at home since students will be using Office 365 to save their work. This means they can access their work at any place and any time. Occasionally we will have a "Fix and Finish" day but I encourage students to find time as soon as possible to complete any missing work.
Keyboarding students may access their work at home as well via the EduTyping website. Parents/Guardians are encouraged to monitor students as they keyboard. Be sure to remind your child to practice proper technique including keeping their fingers on the homerow and sitting up straight.
I am always available to provide help if needed. If you need to reach me for any reason my preferred method of contact would be email at firstname.lastname@example.org
