Welcome To Ms. Jupin's website. Ms. Jupin has been a special education teacher in the district since 2008 and has taught English, reading, social studies, Spanish and German. For the 2017-18 school year, Ms. Jupin is teaching Social Studies, and all resources pertaining to her classes can be found here.
In sixth grade, the students will travel back in time to the beginnings of civilization. They will explore the lives of early humans and the first farmers. Then they will eplore the ancient civilizations that developed in Mesopotamia, Egypt, India, China, Greece, and Rome. As they learn about each civilization's government, social classes, and daily life, they will also be introduced to the advent of major religions that developed within these areas.
In seventh grade, the students will explore the middle ages. They will experience the inequity of the feudal system, develop a compromise during the Crusades, design a Rennaisance faire exhibit on Knights, create a museum exhibit for Samurai, and study the Reformation.
Ms. Jupin is advisor of the Game On! Social club. Students are invited to attend this club based on leadership skills and social needs.
