Mr. Christopher Spina
Welcome to 6th & 7th Grade Social Studies. I have been teaching fourteen years in New Jersey. I started teaching in 2004 and since then I've taught High School, Middle School and Elementary School students.
Our seventh grade course includes the study of ancient world history with a strong emphasis world cultures during the Middle Ages throughout Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia, and South America. We'll learn how these cultures shaped our world today and how we are affected by their developments.
Our sixth grade course includes the study of ancient world history with a strong emphasis on early hominids (caveman), Ancient Sumer, Mesopotamia, Settling Egypt, Egyptian Pharaohs, Indian Settlements, Early Chinese Empire, Athens & Sparta, Ancient Greek Empire, and Roman Republic.
I graduated from Washington Township High School in 2000 with honors and attended Rowan University for history/secondary education. I graduated in 2004 with honors. When I'm not in school I enjoy traveling outside the United States, exploring different cultures, and collecting unusual souvenirs. Back in the States, my hobbies include: playing soccer, hiking, bowling, watching the local sport teams, and studying history.
