Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. David Kane
Welcome to my page. I teach 7th and 8th grade Computers and Financial Literacy, and 6th grade keyboarding. I have been teaching since graduating from St. Peter's college in 1997. Out of all the subjects I have ever taught, I believe the content we cover in the Financial Literacy class are some of the most critical, practical skills students will ever learn. Whatever careers they decide upon in the future, they will all have to be able to budget, save, invest and manage their money.
Below are basic course overviews, resources, videos and activities, and a link to my Moodle page. Moodle is where all assignments are submitted for grading when finished. Students can check Moodle to see what assignments have been handed in and which ones are still missing.
The majority of our grades in class are from projects. If a student needs a little extra time to finish a project, they can work during Split Lunch, during Study Hall, or stay after school for the Computer Club. Although we do occasionally have catch up days in class, I would encourage students to find time to complete all projects as soon as possible. I am always available to provide help if needed.
