Mr. Domenick C. Renzi

Hello -

I am excited to be teaching BSI Math at Wedgwood Elementary School, a school that I once attended as a student many years ago.  As I know first hand, attending Wedgwood can be an interesting and exciting experience.  I am planning a challenging, busy and with your help, rewarding year as we learn about the magical world of mathematics.

Let me tell you a little about myself.  I graduated from Washington Township High School before I went on to graduate from Rowan University with teaching and mathematics degrees.  A few years ago, I graduated again from Rowan University with a Master's Degree in School Administration.  I have spent my entire career in education in the Washington Township Public Schools.  I taught 5th grade at Bells Elementary School for 11 years.  From there I worked as an Elementary Supervisor at Wedgwood Elementary School before becoming the principal of Bells Elementary School.  After five years in administration, I decided to return to my first love - that of teaching - and am excited to be teaching BSI Math at Wedgwood.  In 2016-17, I was named the Wedgwood School Teacher of the Year. I was also named the Gloucester County Teacher of the Year for 2017-18 and a New Jersey State Teacher of the Year Finalist.  During the summer of 2017, I was featured in the WT Neighbors Magazine - September 2017.

I end this introduction with a quotation from Ralph Waldo Emerson:  "Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm."  I am confident that over the next few months my enthusiasm will be shared by you.  Together, we will make your time at Wedgwood a rewarding and enjoyable one.

Sincerely,

Mr. Renzi
