Welcome to First Grade at Wedgwood School!  My name is Ellen Calandra and I have been teaching first grade for 20 years.  I began my career in first grade at Ingomar Elementary in Pittsburgh.  My husband and I moved back to Washington Township in 1989 where I began teaching at Wedgwood School! I taught for six years and then took time off to raise my family.  We have three daughters who were all students of Washington Township Schools.  I re-entered the work force part time at Thomas Jefferson Elementary and was privileged to return to my home at Wedgwood School in 2010.
