Ms. Gina Castano
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! I am thrilled to be your child's 4th grade teacher this year. I am so excited to be a part of your child's educational success.
I am entering my 16th year of teaching, and I have taught Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, and 4th grades over the years. I believe that there is nothing more important than educating children, and my main goal is to provide each student the opportunity to continue to develop into successful and happy human beings. I am very passionate about education, and I want to convey my love of teaching and learning to students each day. My hope is for my students to enjoy coming to school and to love learning.
This year I will be teaching language arts literacy, and I am so excited to do so! Guiding students down the path of becoming even better readers and writers is so rewarding! Our theme this year for ELA is "Reading Takes You Places!" We will be exploring all the places you can visit and adventures you can take through reading and writing.
The link between home and school is absolutely essential, and I hope to work closely with you to foster a lifelong love of learning in each and every child. Please know that I will always be available to address any question or concern you might have. You can reach me through e-mail at gcastano@wtps.org, by calling Whitman at 856-227-1103 ext. 3412, or by writing a note and placing it in your child’s folder or planner.
I am looking forward to a wonderful year!! :)
