Miss Ashley Cerami

Hi there and welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! My name is Miss Ashley Cerami and this is my second year teaching in the Washington Township School District.  I am so EXCITED to be back again as one of the part-time Basic Skills teachers for both mathematics and language arts.  The basic skills program is unique in that the curriculum can be taken and taught at your child’s comfort level. Through small group instruction, your child will learn the necessary foundational skills necessary to build upon as he/she progresses to more difficult material throughout his/her learning journey.

I am looking forward to getting to know your son/ daughter throughout the year, including his/her learning styles and interests and activities he/she enjoys outside of the classroom.  In the mean time, I would like for you to learn a little about me.  I currently reside in Bellmawr, but am a Washington Township native, having attended Hurffville, Bunker Hill, and graduating from the high school in 2009.  In my free time I enjoy going to the gym, practicing yoga, reading (preferably at the beach), and spending endless amount of time playing Frisbee with my Blue Heeler Chibbs.  During the summer when I am not running off to the beach with my family, I’m fortunate enough to spend my days nannying two adorable little boys, Cristian (9) and Jimmy (6).

My passion for education stems from my own personal struggles with learning, and it is my belief that successful learning needs to be built on a solid foundation.  Learning should be fun, engaging, and have relevance to the real world.  I will do my very best to build confidence and motivation in your child as we travel this learning journey together.

Please feel free to contact me at any time with questions or concerns that you may have!  Have a great school year!
