Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Sarah Kramer

Hi, and welcome to the library at Birches Elementary School!

I am a second generation Birches student, and I’m thrilled and proud to be back in a teaching capacity after nearly 23 years! I received my B.A. in History from Immaculata University in 2008, and my M.S. in Library and Information Science, with a specialization in Youth Services, from Drexel University in 2011.

I worked at the Margaret E. Heggan Free Public Library from 2009 to 2018. I started out as a part time shelver, and became the full time Youth Services Librarian in 2012, where I ordered materials and held programs for children ages 6 months to 18 years.

I am honored to have the privilege to continue serving children in Washington Township. When I’m not at school teaching kids how to use a glossary, the particulars of the Dewey Decimal system, or how to write a bibliography, I love to spend time with my family, snuggle my two dogs Mike and Sully, curl up with a good book (unsurprisingly), enjoy all things Disney, and dance ballet.
