Welcome to First Grade!!

Welcome to 1st Grade!  My name is Mrs. Mailliard (pronounced Mallard- like the duck!). I, along with Mrs. Fuller, will be your child's first grade teachers!  We have the privilege to follow the co-teaching model in our classroom. The benefits of this setting are tremendous! We are both certified in Elementary Education as well as a Reading Specialist Certificate. Mrs. Fuller is also cerified in Special Education. In this setting, it will allow for more individualized programming for all students. Our student to teacher ratio has decreased, therefore giving more of an opportunity to support all learning needs, styles, and ability levels.

 I taught first grade for many years in the Pennsbury School District and I have also taught Kindergarten at Grenloch Terrace Early Childhood Center. Birches is an AMAZING school and I can not wait to start your child's 1st grade journey together!
