Mr. David Tomczak

David Tomczyk has been a resident of Washington Township for the past eight years. He and his wife and three children (10, 8, and 4) stay involved in the Township, with the kids heavily involved in sports, including field hockey, wrestling, and lacrosse.

David is a glazier by trade. He started his apprenticeship in 2004 with Local 252 and has since moved into a full-time safety director role for the Finishing Trades Institute of the Mid-Atlantic Region. David also has earned an associates’ degree in construction technology and is pursuing his bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety. In his time as a safety instructor, David has earned the status of OSHA 500 Series master instructor.

“My main goal as a board member is to bring awareness to options other than college for post-secondary education,” David said. “I was fortunate to find a career without college, and believe our students deserve to know that that is an option. I believe in being a lifetime learner. I am attending college much later because it fits my needs now.

“As a board member, I will support the community, students, and teachers in any way I can to ensure the Washington Township School District is servicing all of our educational needs.
