About Mr. Zachowski:
Hello!  My name is Joseph Zachowski, Director of Choral Activities at Washington Township HS. I grew up in the Old Birches and attended Birches Elementary, Orchard Valley Middle School, and WTHS ('00). I graduated from The College of New Jersey ('04) with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, majoring in both trumpet and voice.  For the first nine years of my teaching career, I was the Choral Director at Orchard Valley Middle School, and for three of those years was also the Choral Director at Chestnut Ridge Middle School.  I have been the Choral Director at WTHS since 2013, and am honored to teach at my alma mater.  I also received a masters degree in School Administration ('16) from Rowan University.
My wife Melissa and I have made TWP our home as well, and our son Johnny attends Wedgwood Elementary School.  Outside of WTHS, I perform regularly with regional cover band 39 Mariner, am the Artistic Director and Summer Program Coordinator for West Deptord Little Theatre, and teach private voice and trumpet lessons.
