Mrs. Michelle Guetens
Welcome to my School Wires page. My name is Michelle Guetens. Here's a little bit about me. I graduated from Washington Township High School in 1986. After graduation, I attended Rider College where I played field hockey and softball. I earned a Bacherlor of Arts degree in 1990. Right after graduating from Rider College, I worked for Bell Atlantic Yellow pages selling advertising for close to 6 years. A few years into that job, I realized it could not be my lifelong career. I decided to go back to school at night to become a teacher. I attended Rowan University for my Special Education certification and a few years later I earned my Master's degree in Reading Education. I was fortunate enough to come back to my Alma Mater and get a teaching job. This is my 21st year teaching Special Education at WTHS. I have been married to my husband Ed for 25 years, and we have three sons, Scott, Brett and Danny. I have spent the majority of my career teaching 9th grade English, and over the past three years, I have also been teaching the specialized reading program, Read 180. I truly love what I do, and I look forward to teaching your student. If you need to contact me for any reason, please email me at mguetens@wtps.org anytime.
