Tori Dott Elevated to Assistant Principal at Washington Township High School

For Immediate Release
September 23, 2026

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – The Washington Township Board of Education recently approved the appointment of veteran district educator Tori Dott as new Assistant Principal at Washington Township High School. Dott succeeds George Passante, who transitioned into the role of Director of Athletics on September 1, 2026.

Dott has served Washington Township Public Schools since 2017. She spent seven years as a fifth-grade teacher at Whitman Elementary School before being appointed Intervention Specialist in 2024. In that capacity, she served as the school’s Intervention & Referral Services (I&RS) Coordinator, Data Coordinator, and Site Test Coordinator, overseeing academic and behavioral interventions, district-wide standardized testing compliance, and teacher mentorship.

Her leadership at Whitman includes co-developing “Caught by the Cat”—a schoolwide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program — and designing a school culture incentive system that drove student engagement. Her targeted instructional strategies also contributed to measurable gains in English Language Arts (ELA) achievement.

“Washington Township High School is excited to welcome Ms. Tori Dott to the administrative team,” said WTHS Executive Principal Ray Anderson. “She brings a wealth of experience in teaching and learning, standardized testing, and building meaningful relationships with students and staff. Her enthusiasm and collaborative spirit are already making a positive impact on our school.”

“Ms. Dott is a high-energy leader whose deep passion for student success is matched by her expertise in teacher coaching and intervention services,” said Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Tricia Holmes. “Driven by a strong commitment to empowering both students and educators, we know she will accomplish extraordinary things in this role.”

Dott earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (2014) and a Master of Education in Special Education (2016) from Lynchburg University. She completed a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Wilmington University in 2026. Dott holds certifications as a Principal, Supervisor, K–5 Elementary Educator, and Specialist for Young Children with Disabilities.
