Raymond C. Dinovi, Jr.
(Term Expires December 31, 2020)
A retired educator and administrator, Ray Dinovi spent 38 years as a teacher and elementary school principal with the Monroe Township Schools. During his principalship at Radix Elementary, the school was recognized for its exemplary character education programs as a three-time recipient of the New Jersey State Character Education Award and the 2007 Character Education Partnership (CEP) National School of Character Award. Following his retirement, Dinovi worked part-time as an educational specialist for EIRC, planning professional development workshops for paraprofessionals, teachers and administrators. He also supervised and evaluated student-teachers as an adjunct professor at Rowan University.
Ray and his wife, Charlene, are 27-year residents of Washington Township. He is the father of six children, two of whom attended Whitman Elementary, Bunker Hill Middle School and Washington Township High School. He has eight grandchildren.
Dinovi holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Kean University and a master's in education from Rutgers University, as well as New Jersey certifications in teaching and administration.
As a Board of Education member, Ray hopes to implement recommendations from the District's Equity Coalition Committee and the Strategic Planning Committee. He believes that these two initiatives - as well as sound fiscal planning, community involvement and continued professional development - are necessary to provide a quality education for all students.
