Small Man, Big Message
Motivational Speaker and Former Pro Wrestler Chris Hollyfield Shares Anti-Bullying Message with Washington Twp. Students
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – Motivational speaker Chris Hollyfield visited the Washington Township Public Schools during School Violence Awareness/Red Ribbon Week (October 15-19, 2018), chatting with students across the District about keeping bullying out of their schools.
Standing just 4-foot-4, Hollyfield is best known for his former role on World Wrestling Entertainment’s Smack Down as “Little Boogeyman.” He also has been featured on ESPN, 60 Minutes, Dateline NBC and Primetime Live, advancing his message of encouraging kids to be the best that they can be. Perceived as an undersized man in an oversized world, Hollyfield maximizes his visual difference to help students recognize, and avoid, teasing and bullying among their peers.
In addition to his speaking engagements in the schools, Hollyfield appeared at a Family Night presentation on Tuesday, October 16, at Wedgwood Elementary School.
Hollyfield’s appearance in Washington Township was set up by student assistance counselor Sandy Conlin through the Youth Alliance program.
