Washington Township Public Schools to Host 2020-21 Virtual Back-to-School Nights by Level
The Washington Township Public Schools’ Back-to-School nights - where parents historically are welcomed into the District’s 11 schools, given an overview of the schools’ offerings and expectations of learning, and provided an introduction to teachers- will be moved to a virtual platform because of ongoing pandemic concerns and the need for social distancing.
Families still will have an opportunity to follow their child’s schedule and interact with teachers and administrators in a live or recorded setting by level. Directions on how to access each school’s virtual platform will be forthcoming from all school administrators.
“While we recognize that families and students are yearning for face-to-face interactions, we also recognize that opening up our schools at this time is not feasible,” Superintendent of Schools Joe Bollendorf said. “We hope our community will take advantage of these sessions to make a connection with their children’s teachers and to get a feel for the scope of the curriculum and for the many opportunities, programs and activities that are being planned.”
