Sensational Weather, Spirited School Pride and a Stunning Gridiron Win Make for Memorable 2021 WTHS Homecoming
The excitement was palpable as a crowd of students and families totaling more than 2,500 poured into the Washington Township High School stadium on Friday, October 8th, resuming the traditions of the school’s Homecoming Festivities free of COVID restrictions. Grand Marshall Carol Costello, a recently retired WTHS teacher and long-time class advisor, opened the 21st Annual Spirit Parade, welcoming the celebration and antics of 12 clubs and sports teams and more than 400 student participants.
Following the presentation of colors by the school’s Air Force JROTC color guard, the introduction of the school’s marching band and cheerleaders and Costello’s entrance, the 12 members of the Homecoming Court and their escorts were announced. They included Molly Browne (Steven Spino), Brooke Burns (Nick Bachich), Maddie Caione (Connor DiTullio), Irene Campbell-Edwards (Izayah Diaz), Adrianna Caporelli (Matt Liss), Sydni Drouin Dom Zacamy), Emma Haley (Eddie Tobler), Angelina Locantore (Jayson Tuttle), Julia Lyons (Robert Ilagan), Kelsey Newton (Andres Perez), Elaina Salvatore (Dylan DeRosa) and Maddie Sanger (John Palaganous).
