WTHS Art Students Unveil New Mural in School's Science Wing
WTHS seniors Rita DiNicuolo, Gianna Puglia. Maria Iannone, Charlotte Steinman,
and advisor Christi Serra relaxed in front of their completed mural.
There is beauty in science, and four Washington Township High School seniors were committed to showcasing that fact. The result? Out of this world art!
Art students Rita DiNicuolo, Maria Iannone, Gianna Puglia and Charlotte Steinman, with the support of their teacher/advisor Christi Serra, proposed, designed and executed a colorful mural of the solar system to spruce up the science wing on the second floor of the school’s 9/10 wing.
The recently completed project includes a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson: What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us."
“The girls thought the bare walls in the science wing could use some color,” Serra said. “They devoted a lot of time to the project and produced a truly gorgeous mural. It is a great addition to the hallway and the school.”
Artists Gianna Puglia, Rita DiNicuolo, Maria Iannone and Charlotte Steinman, joined teacher/advisor Christi Serra in showcasing their completed masterpiece, complete with the Emerson quotation.
