Inspira Health to Vaccinate Washington Township High School Students 16 and Older on Friday, April 23rd
Inspira Health will be putting the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination shots into the arms of eligible Washington Township High School students ages 16 and over on Friday, April 23, 2021, in the school’s 9/10 gym. The Pfizer vaccinations will require a pre-registration.
Students aged 18 and over must complete a consent form. Students aged 16 on or before April 23, 2021, as well as 17-year-old students, must have parental consent to receive the vaccination. Inspira will be accommodating up to 1,000 students in the vaccination process.
All participating students will be scheduled for the second dose of the vaccination 21 days after the first. The second distribution also will be hosted on the high school campus, on or about Friday, May 14th.
“We are so grateful for this opportunity presented to us by our friends at Inspira Health,” WTHS principal Jonathan Strout said. “We will have the support and assistance from many professionals, including EMS services, helping to make this process a reality.”
Information on vaccination appointments will be communicated directly to families once their students are registered. Registration deadline is Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at noon.
