Five WTHS Television Students Among Honorees at Annual Gloucester County Highway Safety PSA Competition
Washington Township High School television production students were among honorees at the Gloucester County Highway Safety Task Force’s 12th annual public service announcement competition, hosted on May 2nd at the Regal Theater in Turnersville.
Students produced a 30-second video depicting the dangers in one of four topics: (1) Driving Under the Influence, (2) Distracted Driving, (3) Drowsy Driving, and (4) Pedestrian Safety. Six area schools submitted over 60 entries in the competition.
Senior Joshua Ticcino took first place in the Pedestrian Safety category for his video “Double Take.”
Junior Eddie Wang and sophomore Sophie Aguila received honorable mention for their video “What Scares You?"
Junior John Micciche received honorable mention for his video "Playing with Odds,” and senior Olivia Schaffer received honorable mention for her video "When Will We learn?"
