The 54th commencement ceremonies of Washington Township High School will take place on Thursday, June 13th, at Tom Brown Field promptly at 7 p.m. Inclement weather would force the event into the Investors Bank Performing Arts Center. The ceremony also will be broadcast live on WT-TV (Channel 9 Comcast/Channel 36 Verizon) as well as on the District’s YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/wttvproductions).
Members of the Washington Township Board of Education, Superintendent of Schools Joe Bollendorf and High School Principal Jonathan Strout will preside over the program.
The top one percent of the 534 graduates will be honored as summa cum laude graduates. George Gerber will be recognized as the Class Valedictorian. James Gallicchio will be honored as the Class Salutatorian. The five summa cum laude graduates are as follows:
George Gerber, attending Dartmouth College, majoring in mathematics/environmental studies
James Gallicchio, attending Carnegie Mellon University, majoring in computer science
Shreenithi Venkataraman, attending George Washington University, majoring in public health
Aaron LeVan, attending Villanova University, majoring in cognitive and behavioral health
Lauren Baron, attending University of Delaware, majoring in computer science
