Grenloch Terrace Early Childhood Center Substitute Uses Love of Dinosaurs to Create Display in School Hallway
Daily report substitute teacher Phil Gullo poses in front of the fossil display he created at Grenloch Terrace Early Childhood Center.
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – As a daily report substitute, Philip Gullo has become a familiar face at Grenloch Terrace Early Childhood Center. Recently, the long-time dinosaur aficionado decided to expand his role in the building, creating a display in the school’s hallway that combines his love of the prehistoric figures with some education.
On a trip to Tucson, Ariz., Gullo purchased a number of dinosaur fossils. He brought them back and put them in the display case for students to enjoy, as well as learn.
In addition to his substitute teaching job, Gullo also volunteers with the Jean and Ric Edelman Fossil Park of Rowan University, where he sets up fossil and mineral displays for children who attend digs at the fossil park.
