Broadcast Meteorologist Greg Pollak Speaks to Students at Grenloch Terrace Early Childhood Center
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – Grenloch Terrace Early Childhood Center students were treated to a special guest on Monday, May 14th, as teacher Heather Leimberg’s brother, Greg Pollak, spoke to them about the weather.
Pollak is a broadcast meteorologist working for NEWS10 ABC in Albany, N.Y., where he has been since May 2014. Prior to his current position, he worked at WGGB-TV, an ABC station in Springfield, Mass., as well as in the weather newsrooms in Binghamton, N.Y., Fargo, N.D., and Atlantic City.
Pollak’s presentation was highlighted by his creation of a mini-tornado and a mini-cloud within a 2-liter soda bottle. He even showed the students the proper way to take cover in case of a tornado.
