Interim Principal Andrea Salstrom Says Goodbye to Grenloch Terrace Early Childhood Center
Even with the challenges of COVID and distance learning, Andrea Salstrom can’t believe how the year has flown by. Appointed last May to be the Interim Principal at Grenloch Terrace Early Childhood Center, as Principal Christina Cox left on maternity leave, Salstrom, a Washington Township High School graduate whose own children attended the school, embraced the role. Her parting gift to Principal Cox was a new sign, for which she directed the installation and by which she posed on May 14th on her final day in the leadership role.
"Mrs. Salstrom has been an asset to the Grenloch Terrace Early Childhood Center,” District Director of Elementary Education Gretchen Gerber said. “She successfully led the school despite the daily challenges of teaching and learning during a global pandemic. Her ability to effectively maintain our programming, communicate with the entire Grenloch community, and lead with a positive outlook and approach has helped our Grenloch Gardeners grow and flourish. We are grateful and lucky to have had such a natural leader fill in during such challenging times."
