Thanks, Counselors!
Orchard Valley Middle School Asks Students to “Taco ‘Bout It” During School Counseling Week
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – Orchard Valley Middle School celebrated National School Counseling Week from February 5-9, 2018. This weeklong recognition of the unique contribution of school counselors is recognized by U.S. school systems, including the Washington Township Public Schools.
National School Counseling Week, sponsored by the American School Counseling Association, highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping all students achieve school success, by removing barriers to learning and addressing students’ academic concerns, career awareness, and social/emotional skills. National School Counseling Week is always celebrated the first full week in February.
In the above photo, OVMS counselors Thomas Woodson, Dan Jedwabny, Natalie Marakowski and Pauline Kolodzey pose with sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students in front of a "Let's Taco 'Bout It" wall display, designed to inspire students to utilize their counselors as resources to help them as they grow and learn.
