CRMS Poster Lands in Hands of Former CRMS Student, Now Intensive Care Nurse
Several weeks ago, Chestnut Ridge Middle School Class Council marked the one-year anniversary of the start of the pandemic by crafting thank you signs to show their appreciation to local police and firefighters as well as ambulance and health care workers at Jefferson Hospital. Recently one of those signs made its way into the hands (and heart) of Lisa Petruzzelli, BSN, RN, a Medical Intensive Care Unit nurse at Jefferson Hospital in Washington Township.
Petruzzelli, a former Chestnut Ridge Middle School student herself, is the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Elementary School cook Lois Petruzzelli.
“Being a CRMS alumna, this was extra special,” she said. “We appreciate the students for saying ‘thanks’ during these unprecedented times.”
A article highlighting the posters appeared on the Jefferson Health website: https://newjersey.jeffersonhealth.org/content/area-students-craft-%E2%80%98thank-you%E2%80%99-yard-signs-jefferson-washington-township-hospital-workers
