OVMS Technology and Engineering Students Get Creative in Structures Challenge
Laura Kinney’s Technology and Engineering students at Orchard Valley Middle School were up to the challenge on April 30, 2021, of creating structures, made only of paper straws and tape, that were capable of supporting a golf ball six inches off the table. The designs, unique to each student-engineer, were equally effective.
“It was very challenging,” Kinney said, “but the students came through with some great designs.”
