Washington Township High School Senior Emily Gray Earns Call to United States U-18 National Soccer Team Training Camp
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – Washington Township High School senior Emily Gray, who plays youth club soccer for Penn Fusion Soccer Academy in West Chester, Pa., currently is participating in the United States Women’s Under-18 National Team’s training camp in Lakewood Ranch, Fla. Gray is one of 24 players invited to camp, which is running concurrent with the U-19 camp from February 10-17, 2018.
All 48 players in the two camps are age-eligible for the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. Coach Jitka Klimkova’s U-20 side is preparing for the World Cup in France this August.
Gray played high school soccer for the Minutemaids for three seasons, but took off her senior season to concentrate on her development for the national program with Penn Fusion. She recently signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her soccer career at Virginia Tech in the fall.
