Celebrating Cultures
Washington Township High School Classes Host Inaugural World Language Day
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – Washington Township High School world language classrooms spent Friday, March 8th, honoring culture with their inaugural World Language Day celebration. National World Language Week is going on from March 4-8, 2019.
Students in Mrs. Joanna Belisario, Mrs. Denise Smyth and Mrs. Karen Kirk’s Spanish classes, Ms. Angela Bacher's German classes, as well as Mrs. Kathy Hudak’s French classes took part in the day’s activities. The students rotated from classroom to classroom, enjoying food selections common to the German, Spanish and French culture, listening to music, and taking part in a scavenger hunt.
The scavenger hunt included five cultural questions per classroom that had to be answered using clues located in those classrooms.
