Twenty-Three Students Honored at Orchard Valley Middle School’s First Annual People’s Choice Awards
It was a feel-good evening at Orchard Valley Middle School on March 14th when the adults in the building took time to recognize a special group of students during the school’s First Annual People’s Choice Awards ceremony. Organized by social studies teacher Emily Conaway and secretary Donna Damiani, the OVMS administrators, teachers and staff singled out 23 students who are a joy to work with and who brighten their days. The ceremony recognized the students for their strengths, personality, diligence and contributions to the school community.
Middle-level executive vice principal Theresa Pietrowski emceed the program where each staff member shared a heartfelt letter that they had composed for their chosen student. The school’s PTO provided refreshments for the honorees, their parents and friends who turned out to enjoy a memorable evening.
